Research Methodology
Global Insider adopts a unique methodology when conducting industry research. True to our name, we rely on industry insiders and on-the-ground resources to formulate our market views. Our ‘Four Pillar’ data-collection approach forms the basis upon which our sector and country specialists conduct research.
Pillar 1: Primary Data Sources
Our in-house team collects data using an extensive on-the-ground network, including client feedback arrangements. These are unique to Global Insider, and not available from any competing research organisations.
Pillar 2: Market Participants
We set up special arrangements with many of our clients, wherein first-hand industry data is exchanged for first-class analysis and interpretation. Contributors receive special benefits such as discounted research reports, and direct access to our sizeable contacts database. This feedback mechanism is the driving force behind Global Insiders success as a leading research organisation and is an essential component of what keeps us ahead of the curve.
Pillar 3: Secondary Data Sources
Global Insider utilises publicly available data from official statistical bodies such as central banks and government agencies. We believe many of the most valuable insights are hidden in plain sight, visible only to those with the know-how to interpret complex and wide-ranging data series.
Pillar 4: In-house Surveys
Our 10-million strong contacts database provides a valuable platform upon which to conduct industry surveys. Similar to our client-feedback arrangement, we incentivise survey participation amongst clients and prospects with discounted access to GI’s various resources. These surveys are our most valuable leading indicator, providing market information long-before official data are released.
Our sector-specific analysts and country-specific economists bring all of this together, connecting the bottom-up with the top-down and delivering the gold standard in industry research. Our London-based editorial desk reviews each report before publication, ensuring the consistency and quality of all GI research.
